PCN provides free training to Pasadena residents interesed in producing a show or operating the television equipment on programs produced at Pasadena Community Network's production studio. Programs created by residents will run on The Arroyo Channel on Charter Cable in Pasadena ande stream simultaneously on the PCN website. The Basic Training class is four 3 hour sessions beginning with an orientation where students will learn a brief history of access and how it operates in Pasadena, tour the production facilities and learn the different pieces of equipment involved in creating a program for air on The Arroyo Channel. The following classes consist of hands on training and basic theory about how to operate the equipment. PCN also ofers more in depth training through it's advanced training program where PCN members can explore specific pieces of equipment in depth and learn how to produce and promote their programs both on television and on the web. Classes are held monthly on Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
